I just picked up Biblical Hebrew an introductory grammar by Page H. Kelley. In
order to teach myself some basic hebrew to use in my studies.
As far as pronunciation
and the ch sound
it suggests pronouncing it as the ch found in baCH
this is both for the letters
het
and for
kaf...
5 of the letters are classified as gutteral alef, he, het, ayin and sometimes
res.
