I did recieve the first one, I was just considering my response.
Escapsism does go against most of the Tenants of Western Magick (from Alchemy
to Qabalah, Enochian & RC, as well as FreeMasonry and Druidic Paths). Buddhism,
though can be a useful series of techniques in Yoga, for any Magickian. A sort
of Martial Arts for the Mind.
Many of Bardon & Crowley's Techniques borrow heavily from Buddhism, the Soul
Mirror for one. That origin does not change, that they are useful.
Nor are all Buddhist Systems "escapist" Zen, Dzogchen and a few (mostly
Japanese Schools) are about limiting suffering caused by Attachment &
Impermance, while Purifying our Inner Buddha or True Self, much like Western
Hermeticism.

Frater Serpentis Satori,
You can't mitigate suffering but I've always thought that to want to
escape life because suffering exists and is possible is too much.
I'm not really a fan of Buddhism.
